MY VILLAGE

....Shanthipura.... Shanthipura is considered to be the hight village in sri lanka. Early it was call " MUDUN GAMA ". The approach to shanthipura is close to the city along the nuwara eliya-kandy road. There is the place called kalapura in shanthipura where from a lookout one can see the Piduruthalagala, Adams peak, Lake Gregory, Hakgala Mountain and the surroundings of the nuwara eliya town. If you visit this please you can have a look there is a nice view pleases. Specially Adams peak, Televition towers, Potatoe farm at udaradalla also Kikiniyamana hills. Cultivating fresh vegitables around the village.

Dances, songs, Shantikarma Bali Thovil and Yati Karma have been handed down from ancient times to different Sinhala castes in different parts of Sri Lanka. From the days of the king, different traditions have been followed in the up country, low country and Sabaragamuwa. Dargon Dance - China

This dragon dance is one of the most popular dance forms in China. This dance has been a staple of Chinese festivals since ancient times. The dragon is, of course, an important cultural feature of China. They symbolize power, wealth, and power. They also believe that it will bring them good luck. The dragon used in this dance is made of grass, bamboo, paper and cloth. The dragon's frame is made of bamboo and covered with paper or transparent cloth. Bharatanatyam - India

Bharatanatyam is one of the most famous dance traditions in India with a long history and is very popular in Tamil Nadu, South India. This dance has 6 elements. The word Bharatanatyam means an emotional, rhythmic, musical dance. In short, Bharatanatyam is a combination of mood, stage and rhythm. Well-known dancers are of the opinion that this dance gives relaxation to the body, good exercise and improves blood circulation. The Indians believe that Lord Shiva is the master of this dance. That is why this is done with the utmost purity. Silk saris or beautiful saris made of embroideries are used for this dance. Currently, male and female dancers from all over the world are practicing this dance. A choir and a band contribute to these Bharatanatyam performances by a solo dancer.
